Mickie James' first game has been confirmed in eight months

Mickie James is far from ready with wrestling.

After the drama for James was replaced by LFG for the second season, it was recently confirmed that the former WWE women will wrestle for the first time since September 2024.

She will take over against Maki Itoh, who is a TJPW (Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling). Itoh also worked for AEW, especially for 2022, 2023 and 2024. Itoh was hard-classic in the first Owen, but she was in the first round of Dr. Britt Baker eliminated. Itoh mainly worked for Game Changer Wrestling and Tokyo Joshi outside of AEW.

James has been calm in the Wrestling world since her last Rodeo story in TNA/Impact Wrestling was completed. Her final match in TNA/Impact was for Glory 2024, where she brought in the title of Knockouts on Trinity (also known as Naomi). Since then, James has organized three games on the independent racetrack, but she mainly focuses on her personal life.

In an interview with Ella Jay, James made it clear that she was not retired, but her focus was only on other aspects of life.

“I'm not in retirement,” said James. “Everything is balance and I just have a lot on my plate. [HER] in Australia. I am a co-producer with the last match musical and I am so grateful to be part of it. They are so many incredible names that are attached and part of it. So when she offered the role of the mother, Nick [Aldis] Wasn't with WWE [yet]. Many changes were made. For this reason, of course, we had to make many changes. “

Will Mickie James ever have another match in WWE? Only time will show it, but hopefully she has another chance to mix it in WWE with some current names. In the meantime, it is good that James is still active on the indie circuit, as this fits a good match between two experienced wrestlers. Take a look at the list for the Wrestlecon Super Show until April 17th. The former Openweight Champion, Minoru Suzuki, is also advertised to the wrestle, so this is not just a random indie show:
