Tuesday is gone: observe how the pogues are happy and regret “if I fall from grace with God”

St. Patrick's Day may be over, but our homage to Shane Macgowen and the Pogues continue! Admittedly, the pogues are one of these timeless bands that exceed a certain season (although their music is perfect at this time of year, we wander off). A great example of this comes from the opening title track of your breakthrough album If I should fall out of grace with Godpublished in 1988.

While the sound of the song is characteristically happy and optimistic, his topic is somewhat bitterly sweet and pathological. It stares at the eye effectively and offers a hearty and defiant “fuck you”, while she celebrates and hugs the triumphs and difficulties of life.
