Fire destroys houses on the Sheridan Road | News, sports, jobs

Brian Rowell Daily Press Fire destroyed at least two houses in the Sheridan Road in Escanaba on Monday evening. A fire was reported in the Sheridan Road 915 around 6.20 p.m. Flames from the windows and roof of the structures could be absorbed within 10 minutes. Escanaba public security and several volunteer fire brigade fought against the fire.

Escanaba – at least two houses were destroyed in a fire that hit a quarter of North Escanaba on Monday evening. Firefighters tried to save a third home when they tried to control the fire.

The Escanaba Public Safety officers were called to the Sheridan Road in the Sheridan Road at around 6:20 a.m. on Monday evening to get a report on a Brandes house. At the time of the call, it was said that people tried to get owners from the burning house.

Within 10 minutes, flames could be seen throughout the inside of the house and they began to shoot from windows and roofs. The area consists of the houses, all of which are very closely assembled. It seemed that an adjacent house also caught fire. Firefighters pumped water to a third house to prevent the fire from spreading.

A large column with thick, black smoke came from the burning structures and was visible blocks from the fire town.

In addition to the Department of Public Security of Escanaba, several other voluntary fire departments were appointed to help.

On Monday evening, firefighters concentrated on their efforts to extinguish the fire and had not started to determine the cause of the fire with the process.
