March Madness Bracket updates, news, schedule for 2025 NCAA men's tournament: Auburn gets No. 1 seed; West Virginia sniffs

[Printable NCAA tournament bracket]

The NCAA Herren tournament bracket was announced on Sunday with Auburn when the No. 1 seeds played out of the southern region.

Duke is the seed No. 1 in the east, Houston is number 1 in the middle west and Florida is number 1 in the west after playing Tennessee in the second championship game. Tennessee, Michigan State, Alabama and St. John's earned the number 2 seeds.

North Carolina and Texas survived their wait on the bubble. Indiana didn't. West Virginia, whose governor threatened potential legal steps due to the elimination of the climbers, also called it a “miscarriage of justice”.

Thanks to the profit of the regular Sec season and setting up a 28:5 record, Auburn secured number 1 as a whole.

The Tigers lost three of their last four games, including a defeat against Tennessee in the SEC tournament. The NCAA tournament committee overlooked the fights of the late season in Auburn and rewarded an overall resume that offers the best regular season in a SEC that produced a record 14 NCAA tournament teams.

Auburn displaced a 31-3 Duke team with a projected NBA talent, which Auburn defeated in December, and was a 19-1 conference in historically dominant conference on the ACC title of the regular season. Duke then supported his regular season with an ACC tournament championship and played the NCAA tournament game with the best 20.8-point average range of a nation.

When Cooper Flag returns from a bricked up ankle, Duke will be the favorite that wins the championship in the eyes of many. But it was housed by the committee for its strength of the schedule (57th) while playing in a Down -Acc.

Meanwhile, Auburn produced most of the nation's quad 1 victories and achieved 16-5 against these opponents. Each of the five defeats of Auburn (Duke, Tennessee, Florida, Texas A & M, Alabama) came against teams that were sown heavily in the NCAA tournament. Under the direction of Johni Broome, candidate of the international of the year, Auburn will try to convert number 1 into the first NCAA championship of the program.
