BVB: HCU comes to a short conference in Duals of the Southland Conference

San Luis Obispo, California. The game of the Southland conference started on Monday in the Cal Poly Swanson Beach Volleyball complex for the HCU Beach Volleyball program when the huskies dropped a 3-2 matchup in San Jose State before fell 4: 1 in Boise.


The first HCU (5-11, 0-2 SLC) of the day came against the Spartans (4-12, 1-1 SLC). The points of the huskies came on dishes 3 and 4 with Court 2, the fifth and decisive point. Alexa landmark And Tatum Lockhardt took the first point for the huskies on the threes and won in two sets (21-16, 23-21). The second HCU points went to couple No. 4 Karla Sanchez George And Lauren Vickery In a three-set (18-21, 21-10, 15-13) victory. Paige Palmer And Alisia Silverthorn took her matchup to three sentences on the Twos, but fell with a 21-17, 14-21, 15-12 finals. Allie Patton And Audrey Pearce Also went to three sentences in court 5 and fell 21-18, 16-21, 15-8.


Matchup Two came against a Broncos (6-9, 2-0 SLC) team that received votes in the latest AVCA survey. HCUS No. 1 pair of Kristin Gilmour And Rachel Heilbrun earned a two-set victory, 21-12, 21-16. Palmer and Silverthorn took his match on three sets before finally fell 19-21, 21-14, 15-10.


The conference game will continue this Friday, March 21, for the Huskies with six games on three days at the SLC mid-season tournament in Thibodaux, LA.
