Jacob Elordi 'The narrow street to the deep north' trailer unveiled

Prime Video has the trailer for Justin Kurzel's limited series “The Enge Road To The Deep North”, an adaptation by Richard Flanagan's same name, with which Booker-Prize was presented by Richard Flanagan and with Jacob Elordi in a leading role as a Dorrigo Evans.

The tenth spanning series in New South Wales, Australia, shows the life of Evans, a medical officer who becomes a Japanese prisoner of war and is haunted by his passionate but impossible love relationship with Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), his uncle's wife, for the rest of his life. Written by Shaun Grant (“nitram”, “snowtown”), “the narrow street in the deep north” portrays it as a returned war hero, which becomes a revered surgeon.

The sum of the limited Australian series organized her world at the Berlin Film Festival, where Kurzel and Elordi were in the city to promote the show. It brought one of the warmest ovations in the festival.

All five episodes of “The Enge Road to the Deep North” will premiere on April 18 in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The series was presented by Amazon MGM Studios and was produced by Curio Pictures.

The international line -up is completed by CiarĂ¡n Hinds (“Belfast”), Olivia Dejonge (“Elvis”), Heather Mitchell (“Love Me”), the Show Kasamatsu, Thomas Weatherall (“Heart Break High”) and Simon Baker (“Limbo”).

“The narrow street in the deep north” is produced by Curio Pictures and distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television. Jo Porter and Rachel Gardner from Curio Pictures Executive Produce. Richard Flanagan, Shaun Grant and Justin Kurzel are also executing producers in which Alexandra Taussig acts as a producer.

The main production financing is provided by Screen Australia with the support of the NSW government by Screen NSW in NSW and PDV funds.

“The narrow path to the deep north” is one of the 30 Australian original series that have been commissioned by Prime Video since 2019.
