Vanderbilt University examines from Trump Administration to DEI practices

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) -The Vanderbilt University was included in the list of 45 Colleges and universities by the Trump administration

The US Ministry of Education for Civil Rights (OCR) claimed that the 45 universities and universities have violated title VI of Civil Rights Act by working with the “Ph.D.

The OCR said: “The Ph.D.

The Ph.D. Project describes itself as an organization with the “Mission to tackle the lack of variety of the faculty in US business school in order to create a more integrative workforce”.

“Today's announcement is expanding our efforts to ensure that the universities do not discriminate their students due to racial and racial stereotypes,” said US Education Minister Linda McMahon in a statement published on March 14.

The University of Kentucky is also on the list of universities that have now been examined.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, on which the Trump administration supports its investigation, prohibits discrimination due to breed, color and national origin in educational programs and activities that receive federal financing.

If it is determined that universities and universities violate title VI, they can lose federal dollars.

On February 14, the OCR sent a letter to universities and universities that received federal financing that they had to set the use of racial preferences and stereotypes as a factor below according to the Federal Antid Icrimination Act:

  • Approvals
  • Attitude
  • Financial support
  • Pay
  • Scholarship
  • Prices
  • Administrative support
  • Sanctions
  • discipline

The examinations are part of the trump government's attempt to delete initiatives diversity, justice and inclusion (dei).

President Donald Trump signed an executive order at his first office, on which the federal authorities were instructed, to end all grants or contracts in connection with equity. The President signed a follow-up order in which federal entrepreneurs were obliged to check whether he does not promote these practices.

The Ministry of Justice argued that the President only aimed at the initiatives that violated the federal civil rights laws.

Vanderbilt still has to react publicly to the investigation.
