Users of older galaxies -mobile parts are waiting even more in front of us.
Samsung has finally announced a publication date for a UI 7, the next update for its Android-based mobile operating system.
A UI 7 has been in the beta for months, and a pre-publication is already available for users of the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S25 Ultra as well as Samsung's youngest Galaxy A26, A36 and Galaxy A56 mid-range cell phones.
User of older Samsung Galaxy phones – even last year in the flagship Galaxy S24 – were stuck with Beta versions of One UI 7.
It was an overall messy rollout, but this announcement finally gives us a concrete release date – we had previously heard that the update would arrive in April.
Samsung Galaxy users can therefore rest easily if their phone gets the Android 16-based update–or so it seems.

In fact, the publication date delivered by Samsung only refers to the beginning of the One UI 7 rollout. While those who use the users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series receive Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on April 7th, users of older Galaxy devices have even more waiting times.
Samsung has no further publication data in its roadmap, although according to an official Samsung Blog contribution, the next device culture for a UI 7 The Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 Fe, Galaxy Z Fold 5, The Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galax Tab 5 and Z Flip 5, The Galaxy Tab S10, The Galaxy Tab S10 -Series and the Galaxy Tab 5 series contains.
The blog post says that a user interface 7 “gradually” goes to this expanded list of telephones and tablets, which it doesn't sound exactly as if Samsung is in a hurry.
As we have already reported, Samsung is exposed to the risk of being overlapped by Android 16, which is currently in Beta for the Google Pixel 9 family. As already mentioned, a UI 7 is the implementation of Android 15 by Samsung, which came out in September 2024.
