The Southeasters Conference joined the chance to write history on Sunday.

The top conference in Herren -College -Basketball not only wrote history, but also destroyed it because 14 teams made the cut for the NCAA tournament 2025. Texas has campaigned as No. 11 and will play in the first four Xavier.

The earlier record for most teams who sent a conference to the NCAA tournament was eleven, LAG from Big East in 2011. Uconn won the national championship this season.

How many teams did SEC get in March Madness?

The SEC had two No. 1 seeds in Auburn and Florida, whereby Auburn was the total name of number 1. Alabama and Tennessee earned No. 2 seeds, while Kentucky earned a seed No. 3. Texas A&M was a seed No. 4, while Ole Miss and Missouri are 6 seeds. The state of Mississippi is a seed No. 8, while Georgia and Oklahoma earned the number 9 seeds.

In his first season, John Calipari led Arkansas to a No. 10 seed, as did Vanderbilts Mark Byington.

How many schools in the Sec?

By adding Texas and Oklahoma before the academic year 2024-25, the SEC has 16 teams at the conference. Only South Carolina (12-20, 2-16) and LSU (14-18, 3-15) did not qualify for the NCAA tournament this season.

Both newcomers in the Sooners and the Longhorns qualified in the conference in their first season.
