It is officially baseball season.

After weeks of spring training, MLB teams are preparing for the opening day across the country – and two have already played their first game in Japan. While it may still be cool in some cities at the end of March, there are warmer days ahead of us – and baseball is a safe sign for it.

So when exactly are the first games of the new season? Who plays on the opening day? And where can you look at all games?

When is MLB opening day in 2025?

MLB's opening day is officially planned for March 27, 2025.

The defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs with the MLB Tokyo series in Japan on March 18 with the victory of the Dodgers to the action.

Which teams play on the opening day in 2025?

28 of the 30 teams will play on the opening day, including the Dodgers and Cubs.

The Tampa Bay Rays and Colorado Rockies are the only two teams that will not adapt on March 27. Her opening series begins the following day in the temporary house of the Rays by George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Two games are broadcast nationally on the opening day: Brewers-Yanke and Tigers-Dodgers.

The two pimp winners from last season will both organize Central Division Interleague enemies.

First, the Brewers travel with Joe Buck to Yankees Stadium at 3 p.m. with Joe Girardi and Bill Schroeder. The broadcaster “Monday Night Football” has not called MLB game since he joined ESPN, but he used to be the voice of the World Series reporting from FOX from 2000 to 2021.

In the night drink at 7 p.m. ET, the reigning Al Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will compete against the defending winners of the World Series.
