America first legally expands the examination of the forum shopping streak to file complaints against the Trump administration in front of activist judges

Washington, DC – Today America First Legal (AFL) expanded his investigation on judge John McConnell, the highest judge of the Federal District Court of Rhode Island. Judge McConnell was selected in order to question the case before the temporary freezing of the federal expenditure in the past month of 22 states, including Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia. This lawsuit could have been raised any number of jurisdiction, but it was brought into Rhode Island and was assigned to judge McConnell, a federal judge with an important conflict of interest and a history of anti-trump rhetoric.

At the beginning of this month, AFL revealed the first findings from his investigation that judge McConnell has been working on the board of CrossRoads Rhode Island for almost two decades for ten years. During Judge McConnell's belonging to CrossRoads, the organization received at least $ 128 million in state financial resources. AFL therefore asked judge McConnell to withdraw from the case from the case, given his history of public opposition to President Trump and his long -term connection to an organization that benefits financially from his decision.

Today AFL is expanding his investigation into how judge McConnell primarily chairs this case. An impartial judiciary, in which justice is blind and free of bias, is the license plate of our judicial system. The investigation by AFL questioned records from the state of Rhode Iceland, in which the action was submitted to Rhode Island by the 22 states and the District of Columbia, which is involved in the lawsuit.

Explanation by Andrew Block, America First Legal Senior Counsel:

“When President Trump takes control of the executive, every challenge seems to end up with judges that are hostile to the president and his government.

It seems that in their “resistance efforts” the left forum shop to bring a case to Rhode Island to try to get a cheap judge. It is ironic that Senator Whitehouse from Rhode Island, a vocal critic of the Forum -Shopping, is noticeably silent, while this takes place in his back yard, ”said Andrew Block.
