Live music, food trucks and a wealth of sellers will fill a city center of Wisconsin Avenue this summer -but above all, the hundreds of people who gather for the annual Milwaukee night market will be.

What started as an effort to revive the neighborhood in Westown is developed into one of the largest summer attractions in Milwaukee, attracted thousands of participants and more than 200 small companies throughout the season.

In 2025, the market returns for four nights: June 11, July 16, August 13 and September 10th. The events run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the W. Wisconsin Avenue between N. 2nd Street and N. Vel R. Phillips Avenue.

Stacie CalliesExecutive Director of the Westown Association praised the market as a platform to raise and celebrate local talents.

“Four times a year, visitors and locals experience the transformation of the West Wisconsin Avenue, which passes from the central business district to an open-air market and a dance floor at night during the day,” says a explanation of Callies.

In the decades since the opening season of the night market, the surroundings have changed drastically. The former Grand Avenue Mall was reinterpreted as a 3rd street market hall, in which traditional retail stores are exchanged for a mixture of food sellers, entertainment and office space.

New small companies like the Canary Coffee Bar have opened their doors, together with larger players like Kohls. In the meantime, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra converted a former theater into its new home: the Bradley Symphony Center.

Fiserv, a financial technology company based in Wisconsin, returns as a sponsor of the night market for a third year and uses the event to promote its point-of-sale system Clover. In 2024, Fiserv moved his global headquarters to the Hub640 building in W. Wisconsin and N. Vel R. Phillips Avenues. It is now on the west end of the market.

Other sponsors in Milwaukee are Graef, Gruber Law Offices and Miller Lite.

Every year the night market curates a number of local artists, restaurateurs, farmers, craftsmen and other providers and offers everything from barbecue and ice to handmade clothing and candles. In 2024 there was 245 small companies in the event, including more than 100 first participants.

The deadline for the 2025 season has been requested as a seller. However, interested parties can continue to apply for the waiting list. A complete list of selected providers is expected to be published this spring.
