Dukes fall after West Virginia's hot start

Morgantown, W.Va. – West Virginia scored eight of his eleven runs on Tuesday evening when James Madison Baseball fell 11-1 in an eight-in-end runner affair in the Kendrick Family Baseballpark.

The dukes fell to 7-13, while the mountaineers improved to 17-1.

senior Ryan Dooley Led on the plate with a 1-on-2 strain on the plate and add an RBI and a walk. Newcomer Tim Tyler Started on the hill and went with a strike 0.1 Innerings.

How it happened
First inning

West Virginia jumped in the lead early and scored eight runs after he had sent 14 batteries to the plate. The mountaineers scored five consecutive runs before scored a walk that carried out a Homer by Grant Hussey.

Third Inning

The dukes rose to the board after a single from Dooley. Back-to-back walks for the junior Maddux Fleck and senior Eli Steadman Set up a runner in the goal position for Dooley to make it 8-1.

Sixth inning

A bases of charged hit-by-pitch scored a run for the WVU to make it 9-1 in its favor.

Seventh inning

After the mountaineers held the inning with three walks, they set a victim fly to put another run on the board and make 10: 1.

Eighth inning

With the runners in first and third place, the WVU ended the game with a single in the right field to make it an 11: 1 number of points.

Game notes

  • Redshirt newcomer Holden McKinney Throw a career high of 3.1 Inning and scattered two hits and two strikeouts while giving up a run and four walks.
  • Redshirt junior Tyler Muscar Throwed 2.1 Innerings and excluded four, which put career height into both.
  • Junior Maddux Fleck extended his hit series to five games.
