No. 12 Frauengolf becomes fourth in South Carolina and win one of three games – the Cavalier Daily

No. 12 Women's Golf in Virginia drove to the Old Barnwell Derby Matchplay tournament, an event from eight elite women's golf programs on Monday and Tuesday. The Cavaliers entered the fight as No. 4 sowing on the basis of the current ranking and agreed with No. 5 and Ole Miss no. 14. The sowing list was booked by host No. 4 South Carolina on the upper and 22-rank duke below. The Cavaliers took fourth place after winning only one of their three games.

In the opening round of the tournament, the quarter -finals Virginia Ole Miss defeated 4: 1. The cavaliers almost turned their opponent and lost the last game with a single hole. Sophomore Jaclyn Laha, Senior Megan Propeck, Senior Amanda Sambach and Doctor student Rebecca Skoler won all their games, with Laha and Sambach each winning four holes.

The victory in the quarter-finals took the stage that Virginia opposes the top seed gamecocks in the next round. They fell into the home squad and lost 4: 1, and Laha was the lonely cavalier who defeated her opponent, and won a hole in a game that went off. The rest of the games went to the hosts, each of whom won by at least two holes. This dominant performance came from the Champions clip and the third game.

In their last game of the tournament, the Cavaliers competed against the state of Florida in Florida and lost 3: 2. Laha and Sambach managed to win their individual games with two holes, but the rest of the squad could not keep up with the No. 2 Seminols. This replaced a very average performance of the Cavaliers, which ended on a respectable but definitely improvement fourth place.

Laha was the clear ray of hope and ended 3-0. It was even more impressive that she wins against the senior of South Carolina, Hanna Darling and the junior Mirabel Ting, the 15th and third place in the amateur -Golf ranking of the world, the 15th and third place in Florida. Sambach also contributed two victories in three games, another solid performance by the team's anchor.

Laha found her success in par -triuses and varif and in these categories the 17th and 11th place and at the same time poured 12 birdies that were bound to the fourth most frequent. Sambach dominated the par fives for the big one

Virginia will return to the campaign on March 28th for the Chattanooga Classic, a 54-hole tournament from Tennessee.
