Fashion trends in 2025 reflect the influence on social media

The model landscape in 2025 reflects the developing interaction between social media trends and timeless style and shows how platforms such as TikKOT have drastically changed consumer behavior. The Covid 19 pandemic accelerated changes in the way we dress and shop, and creates a unique fashion environment that is characterized by fast trend cycles and a mixture of nostalgic influences.

Half a decade since the beginning of the pandemic, the effects of quarantine relationships have remained pronounced. In particular, fashion has not only adapted to style, but also in its relationship with technology. Juan Mundel, Associate Professor of Advertising and Public Relations, notes that Tikkok occurred in the summer of 2020 as the central center for fashion trends. Mundel explains: “Because we were not exposed to the purchases and decisions of our friends, Tiktok became a source of information about what was trendy and acceptable.”
