If you have installed the latest Android 16 beta, download it immediately

Google introduced it Last beta of Android 16 before the stable version arrives in June, or at least it seems to be planned for a moment. Unfortunately, the third and last Android 16 beta was delivered with a handful of important problems that carried out all the pixel devices that performed this version.

Fortunately, Google recognized all these bad mistakes quite quickly and now triggered another small update that it should fix. Below you will find the full list of changes contained in Android 16 Beta 3.1:

  • A problem was fixed that caused the system settings app to be repeatedly crashed when the system language was set to a language other than English. ((Edition #403303683)
  • A problem was fixed that led to the screen brightness fluctuating between an app-specific brightness setting and the automatic, system-specific or custom brightness settings. ((Edition #392522561)
  • A performance problem was fixed that led to excessive battery drain from a high CPU load.
  • A performance problem was fixed that sometimes caused memory leaks in the system server.

If you have installed Android 16 Beta 3 that was published last week, you should absolutely download this update. According to Google Statement, all Pixel 6 or newer devices that are inscribed in the Android beta program should receive this OTA update (over-the-air) podalization.

Make sure you are looking for the update Settings / system / system updates. Note that you can restart your pixel phone to get the system update notification immediately, since the app of the system settings is influenced by one of the problems that should fix this update.

Although some of the major problems of the Android 16 Beta 3 updates, things still have to be ironed, at least after many pixel users who have installed the update.

Some complain about delayed notifications and AOD misery, while others still cannot move if they try to change them. Hopefully the stable version contains all the corrections required for a smooth user experience, since it is unlikely that Google will publish another comprehensive Android 16 Beta.
