Attacks flee over Frozen River in Canada, iPhone taps the police to crash

The suspect was sought because he had broken a woman's arm in the United Sates.

Thunder Bay – A tip from an iPhone led to the arrest of a man who was looking for serious assault and tried to flee to Canada in a stolen vehicle.

The Ontario provincial police said on Sunday at 2:21 a.m., Rainy River District Opp received an automated crash report, which led to an abandoned vehicle in the Atwood Worthington Road 1.

The vehicle was connected to a stricter domestic attack in the United States.

A male suspect had broken a woman's arm and stole her vehicle. As he tried to feel, he drove over a frozen river from the USA to Canada to get stuck in a snow ban.

Two officers followed the suspect on foot and found it in a cowfeld in a farm field. The man had also fallen through the ice and was wet.

The defendant was arrested and handed over to the Canadian Border Services Agency, in which paperwork was submitted and the man was handed over to the US customs and border protection and the Koochiching County Sheriff's Office.
