Mother is looking for answers after Ahmad Graham was shot, who was killed in triple shootout

Philadelphia (WPVI) – Three friends were dead with a triple shooting, and now hope that they can give some answers to solve this murders.

Marquita Ponder says her son Ahmad Graham was a typical 20-year-old who deals with music in his free time.

“He liked to write music, as for fun. When he wasn't at work or with his children, what he either made in the studio and made music or played video games in his room.”

On the night of Saturday, March 5, 2022, Ponder, Graham was thinking for the night.

“I was in the living room and looked away and he came down and he was like 'Oh, I'm back' and he went out of the door,” says Ponder.

She thought he would be back right away because he left his wallet, ID and his favorite jacket.

“I told him that I don't run in and out and don't get too late. And he was like 'okay, mom, I love you'.”

At 11:37 p.m. the police were called to the 69th Avenue and Limekiln Pike in the West Oak Lane department of Philadelphia for the report on a shootout.

When they arrived, they found Graham and 18-year-old Lamir Nasem Timms in a white Kia sports.

Another victim, the 18-year-old Konyae rice, was shot on the street nearby.

All were declared dead at the scene.

“They were on their way back to my house when it happened,” says Ponder.

Ponder said the shooter was in the vehicle with his friends.

“The detective told me that they believe that a fight took place in the back seat between Ahmad and the shooter.”

A weapon was recovered at the crime scene.

The city of Philadelphia offers up to 20,000 US dollar reward money for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

“Please speak, we just want justice.”
