1 Hospital to shoot with the Cincinnati officer, the knife recovered in the scene

Cincinnati –

One person is in the hospital after being shot by a Cincinnati police officer.

It happened on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. in Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills, north of Martin Luther King Dr.

The Cincinnati police say that their murder unit, the Citizen Complaint Authority and the public prosecutor's office in the district are conducting parallel investigations.

Nobody died of the consequences of the shootout and no officers were reported to be injured.

According to Terri Theetge, chief of police at Cincinnati, the officials reacted to a call for a person who both a knife and a weapon in a parking lot by Gilbert Ave.

She says that the investigators are trying to take a picture of what happened, but says “something that happened” that caused an official to shot.

“The person was hit in the trendy area in which we believe. At that time, the hospital tells us that it is a non -life -threatening injury,” said Theetge. “But obviously we will not be able to speak to this person for a while.”

The boss says that the investigators found a knife on site, but still had no chance of talking to officers about what happened.

An update is expected at some point on Monday.
