1 person dead after shooting in the parking lot of Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill in Fayetteeville

Fayetteville, NC (WTVD) – One person is dead after shooting outside a restaurant in Fayetteeville.

The police said the officers answered shortly before 5 p.m. in the Skibo Road in 1891 on calls for a shootout in the Smokey Bones Bar and Fire Grill. When the officials arrived, they found a person with a gunshot wound in the parking lot.

The victim was brought to the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they died of their injuries.

The police have not published any further details or arrests.

Detectives from the Fayetteeville police department examine the shootout as a murder.
