15-year hospital after the drive-by shooting in Florida City; House of the neighbor, children's toys from bullets – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sport

Southwest Miami-Dade, Fla. (WSVN)-A drive-by shoot in Florida City sent a 15-year-old boy to the hospital and left shots in the house of a neighbor and a children's toy.

The Florida City and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units police responded to the 1500 block of the Northwest Fifth Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

On arrival, the officers found the teenager who suffered from a gunshot wound on the leg.

The teenager was brought to the HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in the southwest of Miami-Dade.

A neighbor who did not want to show his face in front of the camera said that he saw how the entire incident unfolded, even when the subject's car fired the victim and opened the fire.

“The child came up the street and went there on the sidewalk, and the car came up the street in this way and the car turned to the little child. They just went to him. He was shot in the leg, ”said the man.

He said the teenager was not even more serious because the shooter's shooters were initially clogged.

“The weapon was jammed and the little child ran. He ran right in front of us, ”said the neighbor.

But he said the shooter quickly determined the gun and fired more balls, hit the teenager into the leg and beat the wall of the neighbor's house, including a children's toy.

The neighbor said the shots were centimeters from him and other family members who were outside, including his young grandson.

“It was like four in this way and like one, I think, so. It was like five or six shots as a whole, ”said the neighbor.

The neighbor said he didn't know the teenager who was shot, but he is only happy to have all of his family members around him tonight.

“Still scared. Yes, still scared. I thank God for my family and thanked God for my family that we were all safe, ”he said.

The teenager recovers in the hospital.
