Toombs County, GA. (WTOC) -The office of the Sheriff of the Toomb County examines the murder of a 4-year-old girl.
Around 7.46 p.m. Friday evening, the Sheriff of the Toomb County received a call in which a child who has not reacted refers. According to the Sheriff's office, the caller said that she was on the way to the hospital from her house. Toombs-Montgomery EMS was then sent for the call and the vehicle was intercepted in an Enmarket Convenience business in Lyons. Ems immediately took the child into her care and started life -saving measures on the way to a Vidalia hospital.
Officials say that the 4-year-old girl was declared dead shortly after his arrival in the hospital.
The Sheriff of the Toomb County then contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to receive support.
After a joint examination, two people were arrested.
The 26-year-old Seth Hunter Brown and 29-year-old Taylor Marie Hughes are both charged for murder, murder for malice, cruelty towards children in the 1st degree (crime) and heavy battery.
They are both in custody in the detention of Toombs County.
The Toomb County's sheriff office said this was an ongoing examination. In a press release, the sheriff of Toombs County, Jordan Kight, expanded his condolences to the family.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families in this difficult time. I ask you to keep you in your thoughts and asked in the coming days, ”wrote Sheriff Kight.

Tripp Fitzner, Prosecutor of the Middle Justicial Circuit of Georgia, expressed his feelings in a social media post.
“I saw many social media contributions to this case. It is a heartbreaking situation. I lack the words to express the size of this tragedy. Regardless of whether they know the families involved or not, this has a deep impact on a visceral level. We work on it with law enforcement authorities. I can tell you that Sheriff Kight has dedicated every resource to his office to investigate this case. I know that a lot of people hurt, but please trust the process. Give him a chance. And keep the families of all those who are involved in their prayers. There are many people who hurt, ”wrote Fitzner.
