2 dead after shooting in Vinton, the police say, the police say

The Vinton Police Department said two people died after a shootout on Sunday.

The police said they are currently examining a shootout that took place in the back of the 311 South Pollard Street.

On Sunday, the officials reacted to a report on a disturbance in the back parking lot of the Vinton city building at around 5.13 p.m. On arrival Vinton officers discovered two men who suffered from critical injuries, the police said.

Both men were later declared dead at the crime scene, the police said.

According to the police, a man involved in the incident is currently in police custody. This investigation remains active and further.

This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community, the police said.
