2 dogs dead, several people who have not been taken into account because they followed the fire in Fairfield County

Two dogs died when the crews fought against a fire in a house in Fairfield County early Tuesday morning.

The people who lived in the house were confirmed that they were in order later in the morning in another place.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. in the house in the Quarry Road Southeast in Bern Township near the Lancaster area.

Alex Lape, Sheriff of Fairfield County, first said that up to five people were missing after the fire, but all occupants were later in order in Lancaster, Nick Viland from ABC 6.

A neighbor said he woke up to his dogs who bark with all the chaos.

“Usually the night sleep through, so it was definitely a warning,” said Michael Small. “That something was going on whether it was outside or what, but I was found out pretty quickly as soon as we looked out of the window, you could see the huge shining. And as I said, it was completely devoured.”

It is not known what the fire caused, but the house is a total loss.
