2 dogs found dead in the Syracuse House Fire, 5 expelled

Syracuse, NY – Two dogs were found dead in a burning house in Syrakus on Saturday evening, firefighters said.

When firefighters arrived in the 219 Davis St. at around 6 p.m., they saw smoke from one of the apartments in the house, said Kevin Kurak, head of district by Syracuse Fire Department.

A fire had started in the back apartment on the first floor of the house, was included and quickly deleted, he said.

There was no one in the apartment, but when they searched the firefighters, two dogs found that had died.

Firefighters said that the fire in the back of the rear apartment began in the kitchen of the rear apartment.

In the apartment there is fire, smoke and water damage and smoke damage throughout the building, they said.

Five people were driven out by the fire and are supported by the American Red Cross, said firefighters.
