2 plead for guilty in 2022 Bessemer Drive-by Shoot

Two men guilty for a 2022-drive-by shooting in Bessemer, in which a mother of four children were killed and three men were injured.

Cedric Dewaun Evans Jr. (21) and Kam'ron Clark (22) were initially charged with capital murder in the murder of 23-year-old Johnnae Shy'ann Fuller.

Both guilty of a reduced indictment for murder.

They also owed three cases of attempts at murder and gave a firearm in an unused apartment, as court files show.

The fatal shootout occurred on April 28, 2022.

It was around 3:45 p.m. when Fuller was on the veranda of her house in the 1800 block of the Berkley Avenue.

Fullers children aged 6, 2, 1 and a newborn were not at home when the shots broke out.

The shots also wounded three men.

Two life -threatening injuries suffered, and the third was seriously injured.

The police previously said they believed that the shootout was a retaliation for an earlier shootout in Bessemer.

The authorities said someone in the house had been targeted, but did not say who.

Evans entered his guilty plea on Monday, where his process began.

The judge David Carpenter sentenced Evans to 25 years in prison.

Clark owed himself guilty on March 6th and carpenter sentenced him to 22 years in prison.

Both stay in the Jefferson County prison and wait for the transfer to the Department of Corrections in Alabama.
