2 teenagers from Charlotte County.

Charlotte County, Florida (WWSB) – The MPs of Charlotte County arrested two teenagers because they made separate threats to carry out shootings at school.

A student of the Charlotte High School was added to a Snapchat group chat on Wednesday, in which she noticed that a member of the chat, who was later identified as a 18-year-old Paul Cruz, had sent a message that he was planning a school shooting.

The student informed her mother, who then contacted Charlotte County's sheriff office.

Cruz was later changing the Take 5 oil on veterans BLVD. and taken to the survey in District 3. Cruz was then arrested because he had sent written threats to carry out a mass shooting.

“I am very happy that these two people were caught before they even had the chance to carry out their threats. We live in a world in which technology is a blessing and a curse. Parents, I encourage them to talk to their children about the seriousness of what they say, what they do and what they post. CCSO also received an inquiry from the local FBI -Taskforce in Southwest Florida on Tuesday for allegations that were raised via SMS about school recordings.

A student of Port Charlotte High School, later identified as an 18-year-old Jayden Fain, was associated with a student from a school in Pennsylvania. It was found that Fain had sent several text messages to her in which he explained that he would “shoot the school up”.

Fain even told her that she should not come to school for her own security.

After the student of Pennsylvania had made several attempts to say Fain that he should stop, she reported her mother, who contacted the local authorities.

Fain was in his house and took the district office for survey, where he was then arrested and accused of sending written threats to carry out a mass shooting.

Fain has been connected since then and Cruz was brought to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
