Traditional brackets with one game less than in previous years, thanks to the departure from SMU to the ACC.

For the fifth season in a row, the majority of the American Athletic Conference tournament is intended for the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, which should also align the cancellation 2020. However, the first game is played in the Super Pit in Denton, the home of North Texas. (With free admission, as announced in the American's Championship Hub.)
