2025 Syracuse Football Spring Game Back to the dome

Syracuse Orange Football should try something different for the annual spring game this year. Instead of playing in the JMA -Wireless Dome as usual, the team at the SU Soccer stage should be outdoors – possibly an intimate experience that would use early spring weather.

That was before Billy Joel shifted the concert that he should appear the evening before.

With their normal excavations suddenly, SU and head coach Fran Brown apparently took the piano man's advice to “do what was good for you” and moved the spring game back into the dome.

The start time at 3 p.m. on April 12th is unchanged, and the Pregame celebrations that were originally planned in the Colvin -Los were moved to the quad.

It is not expected that the game will be broadcast on television. A SU spokesman previously said that the orange would not transfer the spring game -a decision that should not be caused by the event location where it should be played -and instead a one -hour all -Access show in the ACC network. This decision seems to serve as a lucky middle ground for fans who still want to see orange training, while they are using the concerns that many coaches express that the spring film is used by competing trainers to give the players to the transfer portal.

Fran has repeatedly explained that he trusts his players and does not expect the spring game to affect who, if available, enters the summer portal. Some other, including Dave Doeren from Matt Rhule from Nebraska and NC State, have the exact opposite opinion and have canceled their spring games as a result.

We will report on the orange throughout the spring camp, including the three-way QB battle, the incoming recruitment class, new and returning assistant coaches and much more.
