4 dogs killed in the house fire; An estimated damage of 45,000 US dollars – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

Riverside – Four dogs died after a house fire in Riverside on Monday.

The Riverside firefighters reacted to the 4300 block of Springfield Street to report on a house fire at 12:45 p.m.

Fire chief Mark Miller told Newent Center 7 that the fire in the basement seemed to start. It burned through the floor in the rear bedroom into the attic.

“At the time of the incident, no residents were at home; However, four dogs were found during the search for the structure and removed from crews. Unfortunately, all four had died, ”he said.

At this point, the estimated fire damage is 45,000 US dollars.

The cause of the fire is still being examined. Miller said it seems to be accidental.

The fire brigade of Dayton and Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAfB) provided mutual help.
