Gobankingrates spoke to Brian O'Neill from Telluride Properties and Bill Fandel from Compass Telluride, two of the best luxury real estate experts in Colorado to get their insider tips for buying a ski house this winter.

Test the ski access of the house

Ideally, your ski house offers you direct access to the slopes.

“Direct skiing is one of the most important factors for buyers in mountain cities,” said O'Neill. “If you choose to invest in a ski house, you would like to know that you can rise as efficiently as possible as possible.

“I always recommend my customers to celebrate access themselves when traveling at home so that they can easily navigate through the site and find the entrance alone as soon as they buy.”

Choose a home with family -friendly amenities

If you have children or grandchildren, you should look for certain amenities when buying a ski house.
