5 transfers that will be the most effective for Michigan's football in 2025

Depending on the Scouting Service, Michigan Football signed an elite transfer portal class. On3 the Wolverines ranks into the top 10.

247 Sports rankings Michigan Football 29. In the ranking of the transfer portal. In any case, the Wolverines made 12 additions. Some will have a greater influence next season than others and here are the five transfers that will have the biggest effects for around 2025.

5. Damon Payne, Dt, Alabama

Michigan Football had two huge holes to fill the defensive with Mason Graham's descents and Kenneth Grant for the NFL.

The good news is that the line of defense against Alabama looked like hell and had none of these boys. In fact, every type who played in the Bowl game for football in Michigan is back on the squad.

The Wolverines also added two four-star transfers with defensive tackle. One of them is Damon Payne, the former five-star recruit from Belleville, developed into an outstanding defender with the Crimson Tide and he will be performed in the same role in Ann Arbor.

Payne will not be Graham or Grant, but if he can play near Rayhaun Benny's level last season, this will be a great victory for Michigan football.

4. TJ Metcalf, S, Arkansas

The former SEC starter is one of the most underestimated transfer portal supplements of the Michigan football this winter. According to 247 sports, he was classified as a three-star sport, but last season Metcalf had 57 duels, seven pass separations and three interceptions for the Razorbacks.

Since Rod Moore returns, but possibly plays the Nickel spot, Metcalf should certainly be classified as a start next to brandyn Hillman. Hillman really came last season and will be one of the most devastating Hitter in College Football how he should be in the Bowl game.

Metcalf will play more for the traditional security role. He shone at Arkansas and Wolverines fans by the effects of Metcalf to exceed plastant next season.

3 .. Donaven McCulley, WR, Indiana

McCulley is not rated very highly, according to the 247 sports transfer rankings. The former Indiana Wideout/Quarterback is classified as No. 45 Wide Receiver. He was occupied by a total of 242nd place.

However, if the 6-foot 5-wide angle receiver entered the Hoosiers after the 2023 season, in which he caught 48 passes for 664 yards and four touchdowns, it would be classified much higher.

McCulley dealt with some injuries in 2024 and with others in front of him in the deep card he joined the transfer portal early. Oklahoma was another serious candidate because McCulley, when he is healthy, is a tried and tested good.

In 2023 he had five games with at least 67 yards who received in Big Ten Play. This season there was a performance with a 4-yard appearance against Penn State and a 117-Yard game against Illinois. McCulley also caught five for 67 yards against Wisconsin and three for 72 yards against Michigan State.

Last season, Michigan Football had no wide -outs like McCulley that they could count on. It may not be a big one in 2025.

2. Tre Williams, Dt, Clemson

The 6-foot-2, 305 pound-trre Williams was classified as a defensive tackle No. 8 in the portal, and it is a guy that will have a major impact on the Wolverines.

Williams did not set big numbers with Clemson. He has a 35 career battles, four sacks and 11 duels for loss. But with defensive tackles, the entire history rarely tell.

Williams had two sacks against Texas in College Football playoff. If you think back to the Bowl victory against Alabama, you can imagine that the Rush Michigan pass can end with Benny, Derrick Moore, TJ Guy and Williams. It feels like Tre gets many single games.

Name me crazy, but Tre Williams and Damon Payne will play better for Michigan than with Clemson or Alabama. Benny is doubled with every single game. He is so good. Williams is good enough to pay the teams and his draft shares is shot in Ann Arbor after a big season.

1. Justice Haynes, RB, Alabama

The rest of the college football allows that the rest of the college football will soon run the top rank from Michigan football.

Justice Haynes was a five-star recruit for a certain reason. Not expected with Alabama that it was not expected, but it wasn't because of Haynes. The 5-foot 11, 210 pounder just didn't have enough chances.

Haynes wore the ball 104 times for Alabama and produced 616 yards. That is 5.9 meters per rushing attempt, and when you watch its highlights, you will ask yourself why you have no longer given it to him.

Chip Lindsey talked about how he wants Michigan football to be “explosive”, and Haynes delivered four explosive runs (20 yards or more) in just 79 attempts last season. In a video recently published by Haynes, the 43rd overall brochure from the transfer portal, it is ready to roll.

The only thing that could stop him from getting 1,000 yards next season is Jordan Marshall, but Michigan Football could still have the best RB tower in College football next season.
