A fire on Friday evening, probably out of a garden fire, a house in Hampshire significantly damaged, which displaced six inmates that were temporarily looking for protection, said the authorities.

Firefighters with the Huntley Fire Protection District reacted to the 1900 block of the Aaron Court in Hampshire and met on the back of the residence, which quickly extends to the attic.

The fire brigade lines used hose lines in the back of the house, while additional employees set the water supply from a nearby hydrant and set up the ladder car. All six inmates of the house had left the building before the firefighters arrived, the authorities said.

The fire was completely deleted at 9:15 p.m. Firefighters and investigators remained about 90 minutes to ensure that the remaining hotspots were addressed.

The cause of the fire remains examined. The house suffered considerable fire damage and is considered uninhabitable until repairs can be carried out, the authorities said.

The Huntley Fire Protection District emphasized how important it is to follow the red flag warnings published by the National Weather service, which indicates an increased risk of fire due to dry and windy conditions.

The staff from the fire protection districts Algonquin and Hampshire helped combat the fire. Woodstock and Fox River Grove Fire Protection District helped covering the station.
