82% Tennessee Counties start in 2025 with unemployment rates below 5% | News

Nashville-Zweundachtzig of the 95 districts of Tennessee reported unemployment rates under 5%in January, although most counties recorded an increase in prices in the previous month in the previous month, newly published data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD).

In 87 counties, the unemployment rates were opposite the tariffs of December 2024.

Williamson County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month with 2.8%, the same rate as in the previous month. The counties Rutherford and Macon followed at 3%. Rutherford's rate was the same as in December, and Macons Rate rose by a tenth of a percentage point.

Perry County had the highest unemployment rate from Tennessee with 7.6%, an increase in the percentage point by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month.

The counties Pickett and Cocke had the next higher rates with 7%. The Pickett rate rose by 1.9 percentage points in December and the Cocke's rose by 2 percentage points.

The data published last week showed that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate from Tennessee was 3.7%in January, just like the revised price in December. The national rate was 4%.

While the nationwide unemployment rates are adapted to take into account the effects of seasonal workers, the district rates are not.
