A cooler day on Sunday, which warmed up this week before a storm threat to Carnival Grass

New Orleans (Wvue) – A cold front brings cooler weather on Sunday.

Heights will be with warm sun in the upper 60s. The evening will be cool in the 50s.

On Monday we warm up until the mid -1970s and the humidity returns. One or two scattered showers is possible.

Mardi Gras, we follow a storm system that moves to the area. Winds in front of the storms during the day could gust over 35 miles per hour.

Timing for storms will take place late afternoon until evening. A few isolated strong to heavy storms are possible in the afternoon in front of the main line that switches through in the evening after sunset.

The entire area is contained in a slight risk of severe storms (level 2 or 5), and parts of our northern level are included in an extended (level 3 or 5 risk).

All types of storm are possible, including harmful winds of 60 miles per hour or more, tornadoes, hail and flood rain.
