A legendary grail clock has just fixed its biggest “mistake”

If you are lucky enough to have a version of Audemars Piguets Perpetual Calendar Royal Oak, nobody wants you to hear about a damn thing.

However, the immensely complex complication is a challenge to adapt and requires that very small keys are pressed in a very specific order. If something goes wrong, you may need a trip back to AP to make it tick again.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before one of the most respected watchmakers in the world appealed to this little “mistake”.

Enter the automatic caliber 7138 -Caliber 7138, which is now housed in three new AP clocks, including two Royal Oaks.

The new AP Royal Oak Perpetual Calendary boats is a brand new movement.

A watch for all seasons

When AP introduced the caliber 2120/2800 in 1978, it was the world's thinnest, eternal calendar movement and remained the most announced complication from the brand for decades.

But even the most advanced technology is out of date, and competitors like IWC have already published eternal calendars that are operated exclusively by the crown.
