A man who is dead in North Memphis shooting, says MPD | News

Memphis, tenn. – The Memphis police are investigating a fatal shootout that took place in North Memphis late afternoon.

According to officials from the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the officials reacted to reports on shots in the 1700 block of the Hunter Avenue shortly after 5 p.m.

Upon arrival, the officials discovered a man who suffered from a gunshot wound in a front yard.

Despite the efforts to make life -saving measures, the victim was declared dead at the scene, the police said.

The investigators are currently working on determining who is responsible for the shootout.

No suspicious information was published at this point, and the police have not confirmed a possible motive.
