A very mild and quiet start of March in Colorado

It will be a wonderful start to March, with unusually warm temperatures this weekend! The temperatures rise on Saturday and Sunday in the middle to upper 60s with dry conditions along the intergovernmental 25 corridors. That is about 10 to 15 degrees above average for this season. And the winds will be light and provide nice, mild days.

On Sunday, a weak storm system leads through the area and brings light snow to the southern mountains and an increase in the cloud cover.

Monday begins mild and dry, but later in the afternoon another storm system will move in. This system first brings snow into the mountains, with the rain developing on Monday evening on the levels. A cold front swings through the state and brings much cooler temperatures into the region on Tuesday.

The snow continues in the mountains and levels by Tuesday afternoon. Some areas on the south side of the city could see some decent snow sums. Further details when the storm comes closer.

The storm will be cleared on Tuesday evening, but another system could bring more rain and snow into the state on Thursday until Friday morning. The temperatures will cool slightly, but they remain almost normal for this season.
