A warm start before the week of the week

  • Clarify heaven today
  • Temperatures warm until Tuesday
  • First alarm day Wednesday

Madison, Wis. (WMTV) – We have a warm and airy start into the week, with the heights reaching the middle to upper 50s and some places may hit the low 60s. The winds will be strong from the south, up to 30 miles per hour and in the afternoon with low humidity levels, the fire weather concerns will build up. We do not expect a critical wind and level of moisture, but this will still be a day to observe when you are on the go.

Friday is a first alarm day Since a strong storm system is on the road and will probably arrive on Wednesday morning on Wednesday morning. First we see rain and thunderstorms when a low -pressure system moves through the region, but the real change will come when cold air climbs to the back of the system and rain into the snow until Wednesday. Timing and quantities are still in the air, but the latest models indicate a 50-95% chance for at least one centimeter of snow, with a narrow band of more than 6 inches in certain areas. Keep this in the eye, especially for travel plans and snowfall predictions, the winds will also increase, which may bring snow and visibility concerns.

What's next …

In late Wednesday, Colder Air will penetrate the northwest, which brings the transition to the snow to the snow. The timing and the intensity of this change remain uncertain, since the model guide in the exact track and strength of the storm is different. However, there is an increasing chance that parts of southern Wisconsin could accumulate snow on Wednesday evening until early Thursday. Göndere Winde will accompany this system and may lead to difficult travel conditions.

A look ahead …

The quiet weather is expected to return until Thursday and Friday, as a high pressure will bring back to the region and bring dry conditions and more seasonal temperatures. Be excited about updates, as details on the storm of the week will get better in the focus in the coming days.
