“Active Shooter” reporter in Dallas at NCA 2025

A weekend celebration for a national cheerleading competition has become chaotic with reports on a shooter in the area. The National Cheerleading Association (NCA) organized the second day of its weekend national championships in the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas when a shootout broke out and performed an evacuation and a reaction from the police.

The Dallas police reacted to an incident near the Congress Center and the Omni Hotel in the city center of Dallas on Saturday, March 1st, around 1 p.m. The contributions of users on X reported that a fight broke out and caused a disturbance, which led to evacuations.
