Actors Gene Hackman and Woman are found dead at home in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, Nm –

The two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in their house in Santa Fe.

A spokesman for the Sheriff office of the Santa Fe County shared Koat who were called to the house on Wednesday afternoon after a call.

Alan Mendoza, Sheriff of Santa Fe County, said her causes of death could not be determined. However, he said Hackman and Arakawa had a negative test for carbon monoxide poisoning.

Mendoza also said that Hackman's pacemaker was eliminated on Monday, February 17th.

According to a search command submitted by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, a maintenance worker who carried out pest control could not get the couple under control. Then he turned to the security in the neighborhood to get a social examination check.

A 911 call was made shortly before 1:45 p.m.

“I think we have just found two or a deceased person in a house for sale,” said a man about Emergency Dispatcher. “I'm not in the house. It is closed. It is closed. I can't go in. But I see her. She puts her face down on the floor from the window.”

The MPs found Hackman near the kitchen, which is believed to be the mud room. According to a search order, a stick and sunglasses were found by his body.

Arakawa was found in a bathroom with a space heater nearby. An arrest warrant showed that there was an open prescription bottle on the counter, and pills were scattered everywhere.

According to the search order, the MPs believed, based on their experiences and prove in the apartment, the couple suddenly fell.

Adan Mendoza, Sheriff of Santa Fe County, said that there are no signs of fouls, but was not excluded. The law enforcement awaits both the autopsy results and toxicological reports.

The New Mexico Gas Company also reacted to the house and, according to court documents, carried out active tests on the gas line. He was found out by the law enforcement authorities. There was no evidence of problems with the pipes connected to the residence.

The corpses of Hackman and Arakawa were brought to the medical investigator's office to carry out autopsies. No external trauma was found during this process.

Carbon monoxide and toxicology tests were requested for both Hackman and Arakawa.

Court files also show that several objects were taken from home. A total of six listed elements were provided.

Santa Fe County's Sheriff's Office and the Santa Fe City fire brigade will hold a press conference on Friday at 3 p.m. to get an update through the examination.

Hackman's daughters Elizabeth and Leslie and his granddaughter Annie published an explanation of her death.

“With great sadness we announced the death of our father Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy. He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but for us he was only dad and grandpa. We are badly missed and are devastated by loss.”

The 95-year-old Hackman was a five-time Oscar candidate who played the leading role in dozens of films and was one of the most respected and honored actors in the industry. His two Oscar victories for “The French Connection” and “unforgives” were 21 years away. Hackman played a variety of roles, performed in action films, thrillers and even in a comedic role in “Young Frankenstein”.

The shabby but used Hackman was one of the best actors in his generation and in dozens of dramas, comedies and action films from the 1960s until his retirement in the early 2000s, as bad guys, heroes and antiheros.

The news of his death comes just four days before this year's Academy Awards.
