Additional information published in Clay County Mord examination


February 23, 2025 (Grand Island, Neb.) – Nebraska State Patrol can publish additional information on murder examinations in Clay County.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, the Sheriff's office received an apparent self -inflicted firing wound. There were also three small children in the house when the MPs arrived.

For the time being, the investigators believe that the male subject shot the woman and then shot herself. The children were not injured. The victim was identified as Heather Gray, 35. The suspect was identified as Toby Gray, 39. The two were married.

Toby Gray was taken to Aurora Memorial Hospital and has since flew to the Bryan Health West campus in Lincoln with life -threatening injuries, where he stays in a critical condition. The soldiers consider custody to be gray in the hospital.

In this case, the Nebraska State Patrol is the leading investigative agency. The children were accepted into the protection of protection and were brought to the family.
