Adem gives tips to stay safe after a tornado

North Little Rock, Ark. (Kait/edited press release) -A way of destruction, rubble, depressed trees and power lines can make the consequences of a tornado very dangerous. Before you rate the damage and start with the cleaning process, note these tips to remain safe after a tornado:

  • Reserve phone calls for emergencies and use text messages or social media to communicate with family and friends.
  • Pay attention to the National Weather Service, the NOAA weather radio, the meteorologist and the local authorities for updated information.
  • Contact your health service provider if you are sick or need medical help. Wait for further care instructions and protect you on.
  • Do not go close to fallen power lines or broken supply rods and contact your local power supply company to submit a report.
  • During cleaning, wear suitable equipment such as thick shoes, long pants, work gloves, suitable face cover and masks.
  • Sort rubble into separate stacks: vegetative, construction and demolition, white goods, electronics and dangerous household waste.
