Age will celebrate football in April 60 years

“From our modest beginnings to our trip to become one of the top programs of the state,” says an announcement on the program of the program: “Old football is proof of the power of endurance, teamwork and unshakable engagement.”

Former players, coaches, family and friends are invited to participate. The costs are 50 US dollars per person, and the registration period ends on March 25th. Register at https://alterhs.org/football60/.

Anyone who is present receives a thumb drive with a digital copy of the book “Knights! A story of old high school football: Volume I (1964-2024). “

Here is the schedule for the evening:

16: 30-6 pm: Cocktails.

• 18-7 pm: Little Miami River Catering dinner.

• 7-8 p.m.: Joe Smith, the former radio voice of old football, will act as a master of ceremonies. Age first football captain, graduate Jim Stangle from 1966, will follow with comments.

Then Chris Roark, the head coach from 1990 to 1995, will give other coaches Bill Rankin, Jack Ward and Dave Imber. A video presentation by Dave Homan, graduate from 1987, will follow. The video shows highlights from 1964 to the present day.

The former head coach of Dayton Flyers, Mike Kelly, will state the keynote address, and the current old head coach Ed Dom seat will be the last speaker.
