AJ Styles takes an inventory of WWE Wrestlemania -Match against Shane McMahon

When AJ Styles appeared in WWE in 2016, a match with Shane McMahon, who only returned to the campaign one month after the Styles debut, did not seem in the cards. And yet the two collided only a year later at Wrestlemania 33, with Styles McMahon defeating in a celebrated competition.

When Styles spoke about the match “Insight with Chris van Vliet”, he found how much proud he had on his reputation, especially because people were not high to drive the match forward.

“Nobody thought I and Shane McMahon would have a good game,” said Styles. “And I thought we did a very good job to do it very entertaining. It had a few moments that are really cool. I had the opportunity to work Shane McMahon, a great guy.

“Nobody is perfectly devoted to Shane McMahon. Ask the undertaker, he will tell you. And I respect the rear of it. And the stuff that he does, how he makes the shoot star press? Will you kid me? He beats himself, man, I have so much respect for Shane.

When styles were asked what his wrestlemania moment was, he quoted the McMahon -Match about his first Mania -Match with Chris Jericho and the Boneyard match with the undertaker.

“I think it might be the Shane McMahon match,” said Styles. “Because I work Shane McMahon. Who would have thought that AJ Styles Shane McMahon would work … In a match, I think it was the first match of Wrestlemania, which was perfect. And to have so much fun and get to know a guy … Man, that was really great, really great, was a very great game [moment]. “
