Alabama Football Oc Ryan Grubbs Spring Game evaluation suggests that Keelon Russell is for the QB1 role in pipeline

Ryan Grubb takes over the offense of Alabama Football could shake things big things in Tuscaloosa.

The real question is how drastically it can get. Enough to lead the newcomers to the front while veterans go to the bench?

That would be the question that dominates the QB1 debate from Crimson Tide, since Blue Chip Recruit Keelon Russel as the next QB starter Alabamas quickly gains traction -even though it still has a long way to go.

“Even if things don't go properly and (inevitably) for a newcomer quarters, I think he did a great job just to stay the course and be very stable,” said Grubb in the Tuscaloosa messages. “He can play many games.”

Grubb adds that Russell “works through the entire process, but he will arrive there”.

He has to get there quickly.

Nevertheless, the QB works on all aspects to strengthen his case against the years of experience of Ty Simpson and Austin Mack's familiarity with Grubb and Deboers.

Russell impresses coach Kalen Deboer with his consistent growth as an all-round athlete.

“He is just a good all-round athlete,” said Deboer. “He still has a long way to go because I think he looks like that. He is enthusiastic about what this growth will also be in spring.”

The QB, which adds £ 17 through the weight program outside the season, gives its hat another pen.

All of this leaves Russell a player that Deboer would rely on in the long run if he couldn't make it as QB1 this season.
