Alabama HS football coach in Florida arrested for 11 charges: report

Robert Carter, football coach of the Alabama High School, was arrested in the state of Florida on Friday and, according to a report by AL.com, is suspended with 11 charges.

Carter faces four charges of a school employee who deals with a student in a sex law, four charges of the distribution or response of obscene material from a student and three cases in which he requests a sex act with a student Okaloosa Co. (Fla.) Sheriff's Office Log.

Carter allegedly fled from the state during an examination and is held back until delivery to Alabama after the arrest had taken place in a traffic disability.

Clarke Co. Sheriff Dwayne Smith confirmed the arrest to AL.com.

Carter was put on administrative leave at the beginning of this month because he had a police investigation.

“As head of the Clarke County Schools, I expect professionalism and integrity from my faculty and employees,” said Ashlie Flowers, superintendent of Clarke Co., in a statement.

“I and the school system take reports about misconduct by the employees seriously and work closely with the school administration or the law enforcement authorities to ensure that appropriate measures are taken. The security and well -being of our students are always a top priority. “

She added: “I appreciate the outstanding work of our administration team, the committed school resource officer and the local law enforcement authorities during this process.”

Carter is 15-10 in two seasons as a Cheff football coach at Grove Hill (Ala.) Clarke County and previously won a 5A of the state championship in his career.

He spent the last two seasons in Sylacauga after led from 2014-20 from 2014-20 Beauregard and won class 5a State Championship in 2016.

In his career, Carter will be a total of 73-51 in 12 years as a high school football coach in Alabama.
