Amen Thompson will continue to start for Rockets

The Houston Rockets let Amen Thompson come from the bank almost half of the regular season before suffering a broken hand and Thompson joined the power striker Jabari Smith Jr. One can certainly say that the second student impressed everyone in big minutes.

This season, Thompson is an average of 14.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks, which for someone who is between the bank and a starter, corresponds to large numbers. However, the 21-year-old believed that as head coach IMe Udoka gave him the opportunity.

Thompson scores an average of 16.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.8 blocks in 29 games so far. He will now get even more opportunity to increase his statistics when Udoka recently announced that he will remain five with Smith from an injury.

This step is long overdue because Thompson proved that it was announced long before it was announced. In his rookie season, he exceeded the expectations of many people as a starter and gave insights into what he could be in the NBA. This year he only got better and does everything on both sides of the floor.

Thompson is a player who wishes every team in the league that they had it. He can lose weight, but works so well to play his teammates. From any place on the floor, it can also bounce off, defend and facilitate on the floor on the floor. His only true mistake is his three-point shooting than he shoots her with only 27.4%.

Do not make a mistake, Houston had a hard February without Smith and has improved since returning. After the All-Star break, the rockets are 3-1 and have big contributions to defense and on the glass with the 6-foot 10 striker.

Udoka has to find out how to compensate for the rotation with Thompson, starting with Dillon Brooks in the forward. Brooks and Thompson are 6-foot 6 and 6-foot 7, and although Thompson is a great rebounder for its size, it has to be a focus in addition to Star Center Alperen Sengun. Nevertheless, Thompson, who wins the starting job, is deserved.
