An Albemarle man who was driven out of fire after the alleged chimney

Albemarle County, va. (Wvir) – A man from Albemarle County is sold after a chimney fire was a chimney fire on Tuesday evening.

Career -free units of Albemarle County Fire Rescue (ACFR), including volunteer rescue from Seminole Trail, and the fire department of Charlottesville reacted to reports on a house fire at around 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Merion Greene.

The crews arrived 10 minutes after shipping and quickly deleted the fire, which ACFR distributed from the roof to the attic.

Nobody was injured.

Dan Spearin, battalion boss with ACFR, says they believe that the initial cause was a fire that the occupant burned in his fireplace.

“Some embers came out of the chimney, seem that they landed on the roof that made from wooden shingles, the shingles lit out of the outside and burned the path over the roof,” said Speairn.

The Red Cross helps the displaced with temporary houses.

ACFR is now reminiscent of people that their chimneys are inspected and cleaned by a specialist every year.

“When you have a fireplace and hear an unusual sound that is not normal, step outside and examine it,” said Spearin.
