An exciting start to the 2025 MLS – Philly Sports season

The beginning of the 2025 MLS season was one for the record books. In Matchday 1, 46 goals scored on Saturday and Sunday and started an electric start to the 30th season of MLS. The 46 goals that were scored over the weekend were most in the history of MLS history in the opening week.

Together with a record-breaking goal record, a new club made its debut. San Diego FC, the 30th MLS Club, defeated the defending champion La Galaxy 2-0 in her debut.

Here are some of the top highlights from an exciting opening week in MLS

Union take Orlando City in Bradley Carnell's debut

The Philadelphia Union rolled into the Inter & Co Stadium to stand in Orlando City and left three points in her pocket. The debut of New Union Manager Bradley Carnell was worth it when the Orlando union defeated 4-2.

Tai Baribo scored the Union's first goal in the 23 'and added a clip into the 64'. Daniel Gazdag scored in the 48 'and Mikael watch in 51'.

Four players also celebrated their MLS debuts for the union. Frankie Westfield, Olwethu Makhanya, Ian Glavinovich and Jovan Lukic made their opening appearances for the boys in Blue. Westfield, a local product, achieved an assist for Baribo's second goal of the game.

The union made a few mistakes, especially in defense, but Carnell's high -skipping system used Orlando.

San Diego anesthetic La Galaxy in the club debut

In the Club's MLS debut, San Diego FC defeated the reigning MLS Cup master La Galaxy on her home tape.

Anders Dreyer scored a bracket (52 ', 90+3') to give San Diego His first three points. San Diego has been the third MLS expansion team since 2017, which it won Opening game. San Diego's supporter department rocked in LA and showed the excitement and passion that fans have for their new club.

Miami evaluates in 90+10 'to pull against NYCFC

Inter Miami, the Shield winners of 2024 Supporters, won a point in a 2-2 draw against NYCFC. Miami scored an early lead in the first half until NYCFC scored two consecutive goals.

Tomas Aviles, who scored in the 5 'for Miami, received a red card in the 23'. Miami would only be 10 men for the rest of the game. In the 10 minutes of the additional stop time in the second half, Telasco Segovia corresponded to the game for Miami so that they could go away with one point. Lionel Messi threaded a passage in Segovia, which added the binding goal in his MLS debut. Messi supported both goals from Miami in the draw.

San Jose Blanks Salt Lake City, 4-0

Last season, the earthquakes in San Jose ended with 21 points with 21 points in the entire league. After a few changes outside the season, they came from the gates that shot against Salt Lake City on the way to a 4-0 win.

Jamar Ricketts, Rodrigues, Ousseni Bouda and Vitor Costa scored at San Jose Tore. The head coach of San Jose, Bruce Arena, was the only coach in the history of the league who won a game with at least five different MLS clubs.

After adding arenas and other moves outside of the season, San Jose are in front of us better days.

Lathe drives Atlanta United via CF Montreal

Emmanuel Latte Lath arrived in Atlanta United from EFL Championship Side Middlesbrough FC At the beginning of this month, an MLS transmission fee of 22 million US dollars has record. In his MLS debut, he added a clip (42 ', 63') for Atlanta in a 3-2 victory. 65,520 fans also took the game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday fit worldwide.
